A late-night fire Monday destroyed a Walthourville home.
Liberty County Emergency Management Agency  Deputy Director Larry Logan said fire units from Walthourville, Gum Branch, Hinesville and Riceboro were dispatched to the unoccupied single-story brick home in the 800 block of Talmadge Road. It took them several hours to fully extinguish the blaze.
Logan said fire investigators still are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
