Dr. Karen Bell, the executive director of Keep Liberty County Beautiful, was recognized recently for her development and implementation of a plan to help educate, encourage and engage blood donors as diverse as the population by the American Red Cross.
Dr. Bell also sits on the board of the American Red Cross in coastal Georgia and on the diversity and inclusion committee.
The American Red Cross teams are mostly comprised of community leaders/members to ensure that the Red Cross is addressing local needs and concerns. “Dr. Bell helps keep us on point in addressing the needs of the people of Liberty County, and Fort Stewart with her knowledge, experience, and compassion,” said Cindi Bauer of the American Red Cross. “She is a gem and one of the strongest contributions I have ever had the pleasure of working with.”
