Longtime city chief financial officer Kim Ryon has been named Hinesville’s interim city manager.
Council members approved the move following the resignation of Ryan Arnold as city manager. Arnold submitted his resignation October 5 and council members voted to accept it at a special called meeting Monday. They then unanimously approved appointing Ryon as the interim city manager.
Arnold was tabbed to replace Kenneth Howard, who retired, in November 2025. Howard’s retirement was effective December 2025.
Ryon has been the city’s CFO for 25 years. She earned a bachelors of business administration from Georgia Southern University, where she later earned her masters of business administration. She became a certified public accountant through the Georgia State Board of Accountancy.
