Liberty County School System will be closed on Thursday, October 10, to include all after-school activities due to Hurricane Milton.

Based on the latest report from the National Weather Service, wind gusts are expected to exceed what school officials believe will be safe to transport students.

All teachers and staff should report to school on Friday, October 11. All student holidays scheduled for October 11-15 will remain as scheduled.

Long County schools also are closed Thursday due to concerns about potential wind gusts and unsafe roads. All after school events and activities for Thursday have been canceled. Normal schedules and operations are expected to resume Friday, October 11.
