SE Ga Leadership Forum taking scholarships
Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum

SAVANNAH - The Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum has opened the scholarship application process for the 2024 Forum to be held February 26-27, 2024, at Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees Garden.

To ensure the Forum includes emerging, established and diverse leaders from civic groups, non-profits, neighborhoods, government, and business, the Forum grants 50 scholarships each year so all community leaders have an opportunity to attend.

With its core mission being to include, listen, learn, act and grow, the Forum was founded to help our region address generational systemic poverty, isolated silos of community and communication, while moving the community forward towards excellence and growth opportunities for all.

The scholarship selection committee is composed of a diverse group of community volunteers who are interested in identifying leaders who would benefit from the forum but may not have the ability to afford the attendance fee. Applicants can be nominated by others or by self. The number of scholarships is limited, and recipients will be notified by the selection committee no later than February 2, 2023. Note: 2023 Scholarship award winners are not eligible to apply for a Forum Scholarship until 2025.

Past Forums have had more than 400 attendees each year, including emerging, established and diverse leaders from civic groups, non-profits, neighborhoods, government, and business. Forum speakers have included Stedman Graham, Horst Schulze, Michael Thurmond, John O’Leary, Hala Moodlemog, and Mashama Bailey/John Morisano.

“The Forum is designed to bring established and emerging leaders together in an innovative environment promoting leadership development, networking and collaborative teamwork for the betterment of our growing Coastal Georgia region,” said Charles Hill Morris, co-founder of the Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum. “And, we are excited that in our third year, we are able to feature an opportunity for attendees to tour various regional sites based on their interest subject.”
