Bring the family out to Bradwell Park this Saturday, July 13, for the next installment of the 2019 Second Saturday Block Party series and join the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority for an evening of food, music, games and fun.

Back by popular demand, Karaoke with DJ Ricky Nails will be open from 6-8 p.m. Songbirds can belt out their favorite tunes for the crowd. The Groove Benders will take the stage at 8 p.m. and keep the party going until midnight playing funk, rock, R&B and dance music favorites.

Children of all ages can play in the game alley. The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority is bringing back outdoor games like giant Jenga, Connect 4, sidewalk chalk, bowling, ladder-ball and corn-hole. In addition, the Kando Mobile Game Truck will be downtown from 6-10 p.m. offering free video games.

For Hinesville residents that are interested in playing games on the go, the HDDA will host a Pokémon Go night during this Second Saturday Block Party. Staff will set “lures” periodically throughout the evening so players can wander downtown and play at the same time.

Food vendors will be onsite selling delicious eats and treats to event attendees and downtown restaurants will be open during the event. Food vendors include Sho’Nuff BBQ, Maui Wowi, and Memories Made. WingStop will also host alcohol sales for the event. Please present a state or government-issued photo ID when purchasing alcohol at the block party.

The HDDA thanks its sponsors for supporting this community event: City of Hinesville, Weichert Realtors, WingStop, Coldwell Banker Holtzman Realtors, McDonald’s of Hinesville, Biotest Plasma Center of Hinesville and AT&T.

The event will feature the first AT&T Charging Station, open from 6 p.m. to midnight  and will be free for event patrons to use, according to the HDDA. Road closures for the event will begin at 4 p.m. To view road closures, visit https://www.cityofhinesville.orgcityofhinesville.org.
