The Liberty County Sheriffs Department is  investigating a shooting on Leroy Coffer Highway at the Fleming Short Cut.

Detective Doug Snider said Liberty County deputies responded to a report of a vehicle accident at the service station and discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

A man has been detained at the scene. The woman was transported to Liberty County Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.  Her condition is unknown.
