Shirley Batchelder didn't hope to do anything too extreme to complete the last item on her bucket list. Instead, she wanted to do something surprisingly simple.
The 94-year-old woman wanted to take out five seconds of commercial time on TV so she could provide viewers a "powerful but simple" three-word message, according to Upworthy.
The message she hoped to share Love one another.
According to New York Daily News, Batchelder reached out to TV station WSMV in Nashville, Tennessee to see if she could buy a five-second ad on the station. However, management decided to run a segment about her message instead.
In the video, Batchelder told viewers it's their choice how they utilize the message.
And if Batchelder's words weren't enough, she invited anyone who wants to visit her at the retirement home to learn more to do so.
"Just walk in the front door and say, 'I want to see Shirley,'" Batchelder said in the video. "There's only one Shirley here. That's me."
