DALTON -- An autopsy shows the 78-year-old man who was killed when he bombed a north Georgia law firm last week died from multiple blunt injuries.
Whitfield County Coroner Bobbie Dixon said Monday that Lloyd Cantrell also had burns to his head, upper torso and arms.
Authorities say Cantrell set off an explosion Friday at a Dalton law firm that represented his son, Bruce Cantrell, in a long-standing land dispute. The blast injured four others, including attorney Jim Phillips, who was upgraded to serious condition Tuesday morning at a burn center in Augusta.
The Dalton City Council voted Monday night to lease space in city hall to the McCamy, Phillips, Tuggle and Fordham law firm until a decision can be made on what to do with their destroyed office.
