BRUNSWICK, — Glynn County officials say a 14-year-old who brought two weapons to a middle school has been arrested by school police.

Officials say the teen was charged with carrying two homemade knife-like weapons to Jane Macon Middle School in the Sterling community.

School police also found what appeared to be an illustration related to the SUR 13 street gang in the student's possession. He faces criminal street gang charges in Juvenile Court.

The police report says the Glynn County and Brunswick Police departments have confirmed SUR 13 presence in the area.
