This year’s Summer Reading Program starts June 1 and continues through July 31 at all Live Oak Public Libraries branch locations in Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty counties.

There will be a kickoff party from 3-5 p.m. June 4 at the Hinesville Library and from 3-5 p.m. June 5 at the Midway-Riceboro Library.

With the theme "Libraries Rock!" this year's program encourages out-of-school time learning through reading and engaging activities for children and youth ages 0-18. Kids and families will discover great books and exciting events at their local library.

Kids will find inspiration in music, science, storytelling and more. Special guests include Ben Roy, Chad Crews, Charlie Hope, Curious Moon Puppets, Fiddlin’ Dan and The Music Lady.

To participate, visit the library to get a Reading/Activity Log, calendar of events and program guidelines. Register online for Summer Reading Program, track progress and earn rewards as you go.

Participants must be registered online to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
