Teen flips truck, hits power pole

A sixteen year old boy drove his truck into a power pole Oct. 9 shortly before 10 p.m. knocking out power and flipping his truck in front of a home.

According to Long/Ludowici Fire and Rescue Chief, Chris Moss, the Long County fire department responded to a single vehicle motor accident in the 1600 block of Lee Place Road.

When First responders arrived they found a 16 year old male driver complaining of minor injuries.  The pickup truck struck a pole and flipped in front of a home. Georgia Power arrived on scene to assess the damage and restore power.

According to Moss, the teen was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup for treatment. The Long County Sheriff’s Dept and Excelsior Ambulance Service also responded to the call.
