An 18-year-old teen was shot and wounded in what is presently being called an accidental shooting on the 100 block of Cherokee Circle in Hinesville.

Assistant Police Chief, Major Tracey Howard said another person in the home was allegedly cleaning his weapon when it discharged striking the teen in the abdomen area. The teen who was alert and conscious, was air lifted by emergency medical helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
