A two and a half year old boy, Johnny Matson, drowned Sunday evening, according to Liberty County Coroner Reginald Pierce.
It happened shortly after 8 p.m., in 1300 Seabrook Island Drive.
It is believed the child wondered away from his home. He was found in a pond.
The child was taken to Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart and was pronounced dead there, according to Pierce.
