Two members of suspected shoplifting ring arrested
Crime scene tape

Two women who may have been involved in an alleged shoplifting incident in Hinesville earlier this month have been arrested in South Carolina.
According to Hinesville Police Department Assistant Chief Tracey Howard, two women were arrested in Summerville on Friday with merchandise which may have a tie to items reportedly taken from the Ulta Beauty store, located on the 800 block of West Oglethorpe highway.
A fourth suspect who had rented a Dodge Durango seen leaving the parking lot where Ulta Beauty is located in Hinesville was arrested in Charleston, South Carolina, the day before. The Durango allegedly was seen in locations in the Charleston area, where the ring is believed to have operated.
Thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was recovered by the Summerville police.
The three suspects have been charged with retail theft.
Howard said the ring targeted businesses in the Coastal Empire and a Dodge Durango used in the thefts in Hinesville had also been used in similar thefts in Charleston.
Police are seeking the third person involved in the alleged Hinesville theft.
