A family on Glenn Bryant Road is displaced after a vehicle struck their home Tuesday night.

According to the Hinesville Police Department, the vehicle struck the home’s bedroom, injuring a resident, around 9:30 p.m., and the driver attempted to flee the scene.   The driver pulled his vehicle into a yard about half a block from the accident scene, which was on the 200 block, with parts of the residence on the hood.  The driver has been arrested and charges of fleeing the scene of an accident and other charges are pending.

The housing inspector said the residence cannot be lived in because the main waterline was damaged.
