The Coastal Courier was proud to be asked to be a part of the making of this video. Courier videographer, Lawrence Dorsey, shot and edited the video telling Hinesville Police Department’s lip sync challenge story “Beyond the Badge.”

The video tells the story  of a young female police officer who at the start of her shift begins singing Taylor Swift’s song “New Romantics”. The music and lyrics conjure up images of her co-workers performing various aspects of their job. But, as she looks beyond the badge, she can see these images transition into the day-to-day motions and gestures of their lives while off-duty. Amazingly enough, at the end of her shift she finds that she has also transitioned.
