The night may have been cold, but the warmth of Walthourville’s Christmas tree lighting celebration filled the air and proved to be fun for everyone.

 Mayor Sarah B. Hayes and Council members Mitchell Boston, Patrick Underwood, Bridgette Kelly, and Robert Dodd were in attendance. 

Although Mayor pro tem Luciria Lovette was unable to attend, her holiday spirit was certainly felt. 

City staff and residents came out and joined in the celebration, and guess who made a special appearance - Santa Claus himself! He said that Rudolph stayed at the North Pole preparing the sleigh for the big journey ahead. 

Walthourville city leaders expressed their thanks to everyone who came out, bundled up, and enjoyed this beautiful community event with them.
