Patients visiting Winn Army Community Hospital can expect limited capabilities and longer wait times as the emergency department (ED) temporarily relocates to the hospital’s third-floor inpatient care ward on Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The temporary relocation is required to perform necessary updates to the electrical systems within the emergency department wing.

Patients seeking emergency services during this timeframe are instructed to use the hospital's main entrance on Harmon Avenue. Clear signage will be posted throughout the facility to direct patients and visitors to the temporary third-floor setup.

During the upgrade period, the temporary emergency department will operate with limited capabilities, and patients may experience longer wait times than usual. For life-threatening medical emergencies, patients should immediately call 911.

Winn appreciates the community's patience and understanding as these essential infrastructure updates are completed.
