A woman was killed late Thursday night after she was struck by a vehicle.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Stephen Jones, a woman was standing along Airport Road near the intersection with E.G. Miles Parkway when she was hit by a vehicle shortly after 11:30 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, a Dodge pickup, told authorities he did not see the woman.

The victim was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center, where she later was pronounced deceased.
