A woman stabbed during an altercation Tuesday night with another woman is prepared to be airlifted to Memorial Health University Center in Savannah.

A Flemington woman was injured Tuesday evening after being stabbed multiple times at a residence on WW Winn Avenue.

According to Liberty County Sheriff’s Office public affairs officer Lt. Phillip Bohannon, an altercation took place between two women, resulting in a stabbing shortly after 8 p.m.  Bohannon emphasized this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

The woman was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah by Life Star.  The woman who allegedly caused the injuries has been detained and warrants are in the process outlying the charges she’s facing.
