Two people were killed and several others injured in a one-car wreck on I-95 Monday morning.
According to Georgia State Trooper David Laff, the accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. when a vehicle traveling northbound at mile marker 79 failed to maintain its lane. The car went over the center railing overturned, ejecting 2 people.
Laff said six others were injured. Their conditions were not immediately known. The car had a Florida tag, but Laff said he was unsure whether it was a rental or privately owned car.
Traffic was backed up on the southbound and northbound lanes. According to reports there were three small dogs in the car. One was killed, one was transported to Flemington Veterinarian Clinic and the other is being house at Liberty County Animal Control.
