By Dr. Karen Bell, Keep Liberty Beautiful.

Monday, November 15, 2021, is the Keep America Beautiful America Recycles Day! This day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.

Take the #BeRecycled pledge today! There have been 87,041 people who have signed the pledge already. You can be next and take the recycling pledge online at https://americarecyclesday.org/pledge/.

 America Recycles Day is a great time to educate and encourage others to be mindful of what they consume and where to properly recycle. You can always start or increase your recycling efforts. If you have never recycled, this would be a great time to start. Keep Liberty Beautiful has several activities this month that focus on recycling. Please visit our website keeplibertybeautiful.org for tips, recycling information, and info on the different contests. JOIN US IN RECYCLING MORE TODAY!

For America Recycles Day 2021, Keep America Beautiful wants you to take the #BeRecycled pledge as a promise to actively choose to live a recycled lifestyle by:

 1. Recycling at home, work, school, and on the go;

2. Buying products made with recycled content; and

3. Educating and encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to take the #BeRecycled pledge.

Collectively we can address the challenges facing our nation’s recycling system. Through ARD, Keep America Beautiful and its partners inspire communities and individuals to recognize the economic, environmental, and social benefits. What action will you take to recycle more?

Recycling does make a difference that you can contribute to every day.

When you recycle, you help to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators. It also conserves natural resources and prevents pollution by reducing the need to collect as many new raw materials.

Remember that Keep Liberty Beautiful has its quarterly Recycle It! Fairs where you can drop off numerous household items that cannot be dropped off at local recycling drop-off centers.

Keep Liberty Beautiful provides these quarterly events to make recycling household items easier.
