Editor, My take on the Hinesville mayor and council voting themselves a nice fat retirement pay increase is they are just plain greedy.

Just a couple of years ago they voted themselves a major pay increase, then promptly froze city employees’ pay for several years.

Just in case they don’t know, or more likely don’t care, it is a fact that the rank and file retired city employees have not had a pay adjustment, pay raise or cost of living increase in the entire history of the city of Hinesville’s participation in the Georgia Municipal Employees Retirement Program.

This bunch is a bad dream come true.
