Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to pledge my support of Mayor Larry Baker in his bid for re-election as Mayor of Walthourville.

Mayor Baker is a dedicated man of service to the citizens of Walthourville, as mayor for four years and as a city councilman for 16 years. In my opinion he has done an outstanding job. He is an honest, hard-working Christian, whom I am honored to have call my friend for over 35 years. As your former chief deputy of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, I always knew I could count on Larry for assistance from the City of Walthourville.

At the time, Councilman Baker was instrumental in initiating a law enforcement contract with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office that dedicated four deputy sheriffs to working full time within the city limits of Walthourville. This successful venture eventually became the Walthourville Police Department.

Again, I want to thank Mayor Baker for his dedication and service to the citizens of Walthourville and thank him for his friendship and counsel over the years. And also pledge my support and prayers for another successful term as Mayor Baker, Walthourville.
