Letter to the Editor: Republic unrecognizable under Donald Trump
letter to editor new

Dear Editor,

Liberty County was there at the beginning of our nation, with two signers of the Declaration of Independence, Lyman Hall and Button Gwinnett. This President’s Day we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founders. They were among the first to cry No Kings with the words “We the People” of the United States of America.

Whatever happened to the ideals of truth justice and the American way that we held in our heart as children. We took pride in the fact that we lived in the greatest country in the world. We sang songs like Yankee Doodle Dandy, Revolutionary War heroes and God Bless America to honor all people. In the past year, America has thousands of innocent immigrants’ children and babies locked up in detention centers and this must change. Denied and deprive education proper health care and even the basic things such as good clean water. ICE has 75,000 people men women and children in their prison system which is 17,000 more than the population of Greenland. Trump’s ICE immigration policies have millions of children and their families living in fear, terrorized in the land of free and the home of the brave, people living with bounties on their head by masked lawless men who trample all over our nation’s bill of rights, our constitution in the cruelest and ugly ways that they must hide their faces in shame. They know they are doing wrong. Without proper training, they are losing their humanity. With quota bonuses and promotions to consider, they lost the public’s trust to protect and serve in public safety and are giving the men and women in law enforcement a bad image in the minds of our youth.

We the people publicly rebuke ICE with protest everywhere. Clearly it is time for the Congress to act for this is the eve of a new American Revolution. Despite all safeguards the founding fathers had in place for the Republic of the USA, it falls upon us 250 years later to cry no kings once again. For four decades Congress has failed to act on common sense solutions to our nation’s immigration problems. The idea of hiring one thousand Immigration judges would ease the backlog of claims for only a few billion dollars versus the $75 billion ICE budget.

The office of the President of the United States of America has been revered around the world. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Wilson Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and 41 others are subject to have their history altered by President Donald J Trump and his Machiavellian ways. Children all over the free world live in fear of this man. And he likes it that way.

No. 47 is the man that Nostradamus warned the people of the world would come over five hundred years ago. He said he would present himself as a man of peace, yet he will show himself to be the man of war, destruction and chaos!

Donald Trump is the proud grandson of a German immigrant, his wife Melania is an immigrant. Elon Musk is the immigrant from South Africa. Yes, black, brown, and yellow immigrants do not have to wear yellow star to show their ethnicity. All ethnic groups have faced their own set of unique challenges assimilating into this great melting pot we call America.

Americans are taking a hard stand against his Project 2025 plan which is over 60% complete. We will no longer have the United States of America, and we will become a people drowning in the sea of desperation and despair a sea of tragedy and hopelessness for children and their future. There is talk about walkouts and protests among the youth against Trump’s dreams of American carnage.
