Dear Editor,
Nonconformity, chaos, and coverup are just three of the problems the Secretary of Veterans Affairs is going to have to address, like it or not.
The process of renaming the former Hinesville VA Clinic was relatively straightforward as each and every one of the procedures is laid out in plain English.
Apparently, the folks at Charleston VA (CVA) have trouble understanding plain written English.
Almost from the beginning of the process, CVA violated a VA policy, only correcting their error when called out by the Central Office.
This deviation from policy was followed shortly by violations of VA and VHA directives and increased in severity by violating U.S. statutes.
The violations count is six violations of policy, two VA/VHA directives and three-plus of U.S. statutes.
The sign on the Hinesville VA clinic still does not honor nor reflect the Liberty County veterans for which it was renamed through the passing of PL 118-61.
The egregious unlawful actions of Charleston VA continue even after numerous requests to abide by the spirit and letter of the law.
The saga continues until corrections are made.
