Dear editor:
Professor Kimberly Nixon, IT Program Director of South University, and Michelle Stevens Psychology/Social Work Professor of Central Texas College, Saint Leo University, and University of Maryland University College; would like to express their gratitude for the help that was provided to support the local Hinesville Community Holiday Food Drive.
We are simply grateful for the help that was provided to make this a great success by our local community and individual sponsors. Therefore, we would like to recognize them for their generous support. Professor Stevens stated that we wanted to touch families in need in a very special way; to let them know that someone somewhere cared and wanted to render help.
On Friday, Nov. 16, Negril Caribbean Restaurant of Hinesville, hosted a Turkey and Ham Holiday Food Drive to support families in the local community in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Alan White, owner of Negril Caribbean Restaurant in Hinesville, has been in business for the last 17 months but was one of the first main sponsors and supporters for this event.
Other major sponsors for the event included Nathan and Traqia Evans of Savannah; Andre’ Oliver, owner of Young Gentlemen Elite (YGE) Mentor Organization; Toya Oliver, Fatou Beauty Salon; The Manna House; and Tabritha Crimel and Taique Moss of Hinesville.
Again, we thank you and look forward to serving the local Hinesville community more in the future.
Respectfully,
Professors Kimberly Nixon and Michelle Stevens
