Marcus Scott V, displays the state trophy he won playing for Jenkins High this freshman year.

Three Scott’s All*Stars players will receive championship rings for winning the GHSA state championship, according to coach and founder Marcus Scott IV.
“Marcus Scott V (Jenkins), Jaylen Jackson (Brunswick) and Daquan Humphreys (Brunswick) all won a state championship with their high-school teams as freshman,” the coach said. “This is a great feat and should motivate all our kids to work harder this summer.”
Scott said he is beaming with pride.
“These are three players that have been with me since elementary school,” he said. “When I started the program, these ninth-graders were in fourth grade.”
Scott knew they had the talent to play at the varsity level even in their eighth-grade years.
“These eighth graders finished with a 47-9 record,” he said. “We had 7 out of 10 players receive varsity minutes their freshman year. That is a big accomplish, but to have three kids win a state championship is unbelievable. I am a proud father and coach for all of my players and their accomplishments.”
The first tournament this season for Scott’s All*Stars is March 27-29 in Augusta.
