BI boys, girls sweep openers from Liberty

Tahshaun Frasier scored a game-high 21 points, and the Bradwell Tigers boys basketball team opened the 2023-24 season with a resounding 68-35 win over Liberty County on Saturday night.

Frasier also had five assists and six steals. Elyjah Thurmon added 14 points and nine rebounds, Zay Thomas scored 10 points and Chris Perry added eight points.

Kohlmin Nelson scored five points, Kyion Sheppard scored four, and Jaylin Sweat, Elijuwon Hale and Jamal Jackson had two points each.

Barri Felix led the Panthers with 11 points. Elijah Brown added nine points and Kordell Lewis scored eight points.

Bradwell followed their season-opening win with a 62-52 win over Groves in the Joe Greene Classic. Perry had 16 points and six rebounds, Thurmon collected a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards and Dar’Kari Pasley had 10 points and seven rebounds. Jackson added seven points and Frasier had five points.

The Bradwell boys are off until Dec. 1, when they travel to Tattnall County. The Panthers are off until Dec. 1, when they go on the road to play Savannah Country Day.
