Bradwell Institute claimed a 9-4 scrimmage win Thursday at Tattnall County.
According to BI coach Jeff Polk, the pitchers — starter Evan Crystal and relievers Stephen Felton and Chris Bell — did well, giving up only one hit by pitch walk.
Polk said the batters also had a solid game.
“We hit the ball well getting nine hits with five of those being extra bases,” Polk said, adding he did see an area for improvement.
“We need to improve defensively on some things, but overall I was happy with where we were this early in the season,” he said.
The Tigers start the regular season at 5:55 p.m. Thursday at Long County and will play at Liberty County High School at
6 p.m. Friday.
