B.I.Tigers ‘Terror-ized’

The Bradwell Institute Tigers fell at Glynn Academy 41-14 in a Region 2-(6) A contest in Brunswick this past Friday. 

Based on updated stats posted to maxpreps.com, Tiger quarterback Jahki Newton was 7 of 16 passes for 43 yards and a touchdown, a nine-yard pass to Kamarion Melvin. 

The Tigers rushed for 237 yards with Elijah Leiataua leading the Tiger rushers with 166 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown. 

Newton and Michael Prince rushed for 33 yards each on 8 carries. Jacquest Lewis rushed for 5 yards. Patrick Logan was 2 for 2 in point after attempts. 

The Tigers are 0-3-1 overall. They are 0-2 in their Region.The Tigers will play at Statesboro Friday night.

The Liberty County High School Panthers lost in Brooklet against Southeast Bulloch, falling 21-7.

The Panthers are Yellowjackets exchanged possessions throughout the game. At the half, the Panther trailed 14-7. The Panthers had an opportunity to tie the game after recovering a fumble late in the third quarter. The Yellowjackets’ defense held strong forcing the Panthers to punt. The Yellowjackets organized their offense and within minutes it was first and goal from the Panthers’ one-yard line. Southeast Bulloch’s Khrisitian Clark pushed his way into the endzone and the Yellowjackets took the 21-7 lead and held it to the end of the game. The Panthers are 1-2-1 overall. They are 0-1 in Region 3-AAA. According to maxpreps.com, the Panthers don’t have any other games scheduled for the season.
