Coaches from around the area gathered last week to select players for the 2-AAA All Region team.
This year, Long County High School had four juniors named to either the first or second team.
Guard Henry Blair and point guard Terry Smith were named to the first team. Power forward Christian Bass and guard Ryheim Izzard made the second team.
Blair averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and one blocked shot per game during the season.
Smith averaged 15 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
Bass averaged 13 points, 10 rebounds, and one blocked shot. And Izzard averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and one steal.
This year, the Blue Tide finished the regular season with a 16-10 overall record and a 6-4 region mark. They also finished as the runner-up in region standings, but had a disappointing region tournament, finishing in fourth place.
They will play Westside Macon on Saturday in the first round of the Georgia High School Association Class AAA tournament.
