Blue Tide lose to Buccaneers

The Long County High School boys basketball team lost to McIntosh County Academy 78-57 on Saturday to fall to 4-6 overall heading into Christmas break.

Both the Buccaneers and Tide are 3-2 in Region 2-AA, which ties them for fourth place. Both Tattnall County and Vidalia are unbeaten in region play and sit atop 2-AA with identical 5-0 marks. Brantley County is 4-2 in the region. Jeff Davis and Pierce County are 1-4, Toombs County is 0-4 and Appling County is 0-5.

The Blue Tide doesn’t play again until Jan. 4 when Tattnall County comes to town. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
