Blue Tide players earns soccer scholarship

Long County High School varsity boys soccer player Cayetano Sanchez has accepted a soccer scholarship to play at Point University in West Point Georgia, according to Blue Tide assistant soccer coach Cory Brace.

In the five years Long County has had soccer. Cayetano is the first boy player to be offered a scholarship, Brace said.

Cayetano said he plans to major in business management at Point and that looks forward to playing soccer at the next level.

His coaches said Cayetano is a leader on and off the field, and that they are proud of his accomplishments, and can’t wait to see him play college soccer.
