The Bradwell Institute Tigers opened overtime with a 10-0 run, and capped their late comeback in a 70-60 win over Brunswick on Saturday.
The win pushed the Tigers to 17-4 overall and 7-0 in Region 1-AAAAA.
The Tigers trailed by five late in the fourth quarter, with 2 minutes left, but Keon Grant forced overtime on a tying 3-pointer with just 5 seconds to play. Bradwell trailed by as much as 11 in the third quarter.
Zi’on Thomas topped the Tigers with 19 points, while Perry, whose steal and slam highlighted the OT run, had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Grant scored 12, going 4-of-6 from 3-point range, including a triple in the run to start overtime.
Elijuwon Hale and Jaylin Sweat each added nine points, and Fortune Hicks scored eight.
Gavin Creel had a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Pirates.
The Tigers fought past South Effingham on Friday, pulling out a 73-66 win.
Perry had a double-double, scoring 14 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. He also dished out seven assists. Sweat led the Tigers with 16 points, and Thomas added 15. The Tigers also got eight points from Grant and seven from Fortune Hicks.
Quinton Williams led all scorers with 20 points for the Mustangs, and Michael Hall chipped in 17.
Bradwell broke out to a 27-10 lead at the half, but the Mustangs closed the gap to 39-37 at intermission.
The Tigers host St. Andrew’s on Saturday in the regular season home finale before ending the regular season February 4 at Statesboro.
