The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers will spend Christmas with a perfect 11-0 record.
Bradwell topped Veterans 55-34 Saturday at Jenkins High School to end its two-game set in the Savannah-Chatham Public Schools holiday tournament.
Destini McLemore paced Bradwell with 18 points, and Ja’Nya Bush added 15 points. Saniya Garner recorded nine points and Janiyah Blevins had six assists.
The Lady Tigers, ranked No. 7 among Class AAAAA teams by Score Atlanta, held Jenkins, ranked No. 7 in AAA, to just 16% shooting from the floor in a 53-26 win Friday.
Jamia Ousley led the way with 20 points, going 8-of-12 from the field. Her eight field goals matched Jenkins’ team total,
McLemore added 14 points and Mikayla Oliveira chipped in 13 points and finished with a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds. Bush had nine assists to go with four points.
The Lady Tigers will take part in the Hoopin’ at the High tournament, hosted by Brunswick, on December 27 against Colquitt County. They will play North Forsyth on December 29 and Richmond Hill on December 30.
Bradwell’s next home game is January 6 in the Region 1-AAAAA opener against Glynn Academy.
