The Bradwell Tigers soccer teams will hold the Mayors Cup for another year.
Bradwell’s boys and girls teams went undefeated in the tournament between the county’s three high schools.
The Tigers completed the games with a 3-0 win over Liberty County at Hokey Jackson Stadium/Olvey Field. Tournament MVP David Ortiz netted two goals and Jacoby Jackson broke the ice with a goal to put Bradwell in front.
The Lady Tigers also went undefeated but needed sudden-death rounds in a shootout to upend Liberty County as Serenity Weedman-Montes delivered the winner in the seventh attempt.
Bradwell’s boys went undefeated in the tournament, beating First Preparatory Christian Academy 2-0 earlier Saturday at Olvey Field/Hokey Jackson Stadium.
Liberty took a 1-0 lead on Nadya Martino’s goal with 14 minutes left but the Lady Tigers tied the game on a goal with just over 9 minutes left in regulation.
Bradwell’s Kennedy Bell was named MVP for the tournament.
Bradwell won the first game Saturday, as the Lady Tigers downed First Preparatory Christian Academy 1-0.
Liberty’s boys downed FPCA 2-1 in a game decided by a shootout.
The FPCA girls downed the Lady Panthers 4-0 Friday night, getting three goals from Sofia Duncan. Hannah-Grace Causey also scored for the Lady Highlanders.
