Already a standout, Bradwells Kailey Brough has a lot more untapped potential, according to cross country coach Brian Williams. Brough is the schools top female distance runner and is getting attention from schools around the Southeast. - photo by Photo provided.

Kailey Brough picked up this cross country season where she left off during track season.

Last year during track season, she qualified for the state meet in both the one mile, finishing 13th, and the two mile race in which she finished 11th.

She broke both school records (5:31 and 12:10, respectively). The only distance event she didn’t hold at the school was the 5k. And she made it her mission this year to break it.

She did just that at the end of the season in the meet of champions with a time of 19:43. Lately she’s been garnering attention from a few colleges/universities in the Southeast for cross country/track and field. She plans on lowering the current mile and two mile records this spring which will be her last track season.

"Kailey is a very talented individual," BI cross country coach Brian Williams said. "She’s been able to have some success while splitting time with cheerleading. I believe she has a lot more untapped potential"
