Former Liberty County High School and University of Miami basketball player Rion Brown is doing well playing for Basic-Fit Brussels in the Belgium-Scooore League.As of April 19, Brown had played in 13 games and was third in team scoring with 12.6 points per game. He had a 51.6 field-goal percentage and made 36.4 percent of his 3-pointer attempts.Brown started his professional career with Hapoel Tel-Aviv in Israel but left the team joining Brussels just a few games into the season.Brown’s agent, Seth A. Cohen, stated that the Brussels team was a better fit for Brown at the time of his transfer. For the first few games Brown was a bench player but is now listed among the starting five for Brussels.Brown’s team will play Team Liege today.
