Former Liberty County high School basketball player Rion Brown had a record night for his current professional basketball team, the Kataja Basketball Club in Joensuu, Finland.

Last week during a game against Maccabi Rand Media, Brown dropped in 40 points and nabbed seven rebounds.

Kataja won 88-69. Since joining the team Nov. 12, Brown has averaged 19.1 points per game, leading the team to date.

Ten days ago, Brown was named the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week for his double-double performance against Team KTP Basket. Brown scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds in the game.

Kataja won 93-74.

Brown started his professional career in the European Basketball League with Basic-Fit Brussels in 2014.
