Former Bradwell Institute football player Chester Brown will start at right tackle this season for the University of Central Florida Knights, according to several news reports and UCF’s athletic website.
Brown, a redshirt sophomore, spent his first year as a true freshman at UCF primarily in the role of a defensive tackle. That year, he was named defensive scout-team player of the week for the Tulsa game, as well as for the Conference USA championship game, also at Tulsa, according to ucfknights.com.
At the end of preseason camp last year, the Knights switched Brown to the offensive line, where he played as a BI Tiger. As a redshirt freshman in 2013, he was named to the American Athletic Conference all-academic team and played in three games.
Last year, the Knights were the AAC champs and beat Big 12 champion Baylor, 52-42, in the Fiesta Bowl to finish the year at 12-2.
