Clay shoot set to benefit injured deputy

The Dorchester Shooting Preserve, Liberty County Sheriffs Office and Midway Police Department will host the Warriors for William sporting-clay shoot at noon Friday, April 17.

The Dorchester Shooting Preserve, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and Midway Police Department will host the “Warriors for William” sporting-clay shoot at noon Friday, April 17, at the Shooting Preserve, 2460 Sunbury Road in Midway.

The shoot will raise funds to support the family of former LCSO Deputy William Solomon, who was critically injured March 2 when he was struck by a truck.

The cost is $400 for a four-person team. Prizes will include a guided quail hunt for the winning team. Other prizes include a Mosseberg 835 shotgun, a Savage Axis bolt-action rifle, private sporting-clay lessons with Harry Wooley and private shooting lessons with Mark Rich.
