Dawgs will beat Kentucky ‘Cats
Armchair Willie

Haarummmph!!

Not sure what some of these SEC schools and their coaches are thinking, but this has been a little upside down when it comes to my picks!

Ol’ Willie went a measly 2-2 last week and that’s not going to make Mrs. Willie very happy if I keep breaking even!

GEORGIA AT KENTUCKY: Georgia has had a week off to lick its wounds after getting smashed by Alabama and Kentucky is still trying to figure out what happened to them in Missouri last Saturday.

Georgia has better talent everywhere except at quarterback and that really showed up against Alabama. Kentucky doesn’t have any talent there either, so this could be an ugly game.

Talent wins almost every time.

GEORGIA 35, KENTUCKY 10

LSU AT AUBURN: One of these Tiger teams is headed in the right direction and last week it looked like it was LSU after they crushed South Carolina. Auburn needed another suspicious call against Ole Miss to hang on to a win.

That make three games Auburn has gotten a “phantom” call. Guess what? Auburn has three wins.

They better get about 20 of those calls this week because LSU is starting to come together and I don’t see how Auburn stays with them.

LSU may be moving on from Miles Brennan at QB and that may be the spark. Bo Nix is the worst QB in the SEC.

LSU 40, AUBURN 10

OLE MISS AT VANDERBILT: Oh good Lord! Who will watch this game.

OLE MISS 45, VANDERBILT 2

MISSISSIPPI ST. AT ALABAMA: Alabama lost one of the best players in the country last week when Jalen Waddell went down with an ankle injury. The good news is that Alabama still has a lot of the best players in the country on their team.

Mississippi State beat LSU the first week and they haven’t looked good since then. Doesn’t matter what type of plan they throw at the Tide, the score won’t be close.

ALABAMA 56, MISS. STATE 15

MISSOURI AT FLORIDA: The Gator have been on the sidelines for the last two weeks after getting beat by Texas A&M. They better not look past Missouri.

The Tigers have looked really good in several games and have beaten LSU and Kentucky in back to back games. This one may be a high scoring game since Florida has very little defense to go along with their high flying offense.

I think the rust shows for the Gators, but they hang on in the end.

FLORIDA 35, MISSOURI 30

GAME OF THE WEEK

ARKANSAS AT TEXAS A&M:

For whatever reason these two teams play close even when one is good and the other is terrible. This year they are both good even though that’s hard to say about Arkansas since they haven’t been good in years.

Texas A&M got romped by Bama but then knocked off Florida. I think it might be fool’s gold because every time you think the Aggies got it figured out they find a way to lose. Arkansas has been in every game and might be poised to pull off another upset.

My heart tells me the Hogs are going to win, but my betting head says A&M is going to pull things out.

TEXAS A&M 35, ARKANSAS 28

FALCON BEER NOTE: Can the Falcons find another way to lose? They lost because they scored a touchdown? How do you do that? Arthur Blanc needs to stay off the sidelines until the final whistle.

Atlanta is terrible, say good bye to Julio and that guy pretending to be a quarterback in Matt Ryan. The Falcons are going nowhere except to a high draft pick!
