Edwards tops Jake blitz

Dwayne Rye and Patrick Edwards shared medalist honors this past Wednesday, the rest of the weekend belong to Edwards. Rye and Edwards shot 1-under par 70s on Wednesday and then Edwards swept the weekend with a 5-under par 66 on Saturday and then another 1-under par 70 to capture Sunday’s Jake Blitz held at Cherokee Rose Country Club.

 

Points winners for the week were Angel Cordero +9, Jimmy Keel +7 and Micah Chandler +8.

 

Cherokee Rose also holds a four-person scramble every Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Players are invited to show up by 12:30 and will be paired with other participants for the 18-hole scramble.

 

The Cherokee Rose Country Club Jake Blitz is held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.  Sign up times end at 8:30 am on Wednesday and Saturday with start time at 9:00 am. Sign up time ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday with start at 1:00 pm. Golfers are paired into groups and are on a points system. Course members and the public are invited to play.
