Long County High School was well-represented on this year’s All-Region 2-AA girls’ soccer team.
The Lady Tide had eight girls recognized, with Nakia Hunter selected as the region’s co-Offensive Player of the Year. Also, Katie Estill, Megan Higgason and Madalynn Flynn were named to the first team, while Courtney McNeal, Taylor Poole, Alyssa Anderson and Harley Dawson were placed on the second team.
The Lady Tide, in just their third year as a program, made a return trip to the playoffs and posted an overall record of
10-3 and a 6-2 region mark, good for No. 2 in the region. They fell to Thomasville in the playoffs.
