New England Collegiate Baseball League pitcher Richard Lovelady was selected to the NECBL Southern Division All-Star Team.

He’s playing for Ocean State Waves, and its website reported that Lovelady has been the most durable arm in the team’s bullpen, appearing in 15 games, earning three wins and three saves in 20 innings.

Lovelady was first on the team in strikeouts with 21 and has made four appearances, going more than one inning.

The former First Presbyterian Christian Academy and East Georgia State College hurler will finish his junior and senior year of college ball at Kennesaw State University.
