Former Liberty County high School basketball player Rion Brown had a record night for his current professional basketball team, the Kataja Basketball Club in Joensuu, Finland.
Former Liberty County High School and University of Miami basketball player Rion Brown has made the roster for the Golden State Warriors’ NBA summer league team.
The Warriors’ will play in the inaugural California Classic Summer League which takes place this week. They will also play in the MGM Resorts Summer League Las Vegas games July 6-17.
Brown has been playing basketball in the European league the last few years. Last season he played in France for JDA Dijon Bourgogne where he played in all 36 games, averaging 12.6 points per game.
Brown will wear number 33 for the Warriors.

The Las Vegas Summer League games will be broadcast on ESPN. Friday the Warriors play the L.A. Clippers at 8:30 p.m. The Warriors take on the Houston Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Monday they play the Dallas Mavericks at 4:30 p.m.
