Bradwell girls, boys to open state playoffs at home
Liberty County girls, Long County boys also have home dates in the first round

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers will open the Class AAAAA state basketball playoffs at home against Jackson County.

The Liberty County Lady Panthers, runners-up in Region 3-AAA, will face Lumpkin County in the first round Tuesday at the LCHS gym. The Long County Blue Tide girls will go on the road to meet Ridgeland. Both games are set for Tuesday.

The Bradwell boys, who like the girls won the Region 1-AAAAA championship, will face Loganville in the first round.

The Long County boys will host the LaFayette Ramblers in the first round of the Class AAA boys state basketball tournament, and the Liberty County boys will go to Albany to meet Dougherty. Both those games are set for Wednesday.

Should the Bradwell girls win, they will host the winner of the Seckinger-Tri Cities game in the second round. A Bradwell boys first-round win will pit them against the winner of the Tri-Cities-Johns Creek game at the BI gym.

The winner of the Liberty County-Lumpkin County girls game will advance to meet the winner of the Jenkins-Douglass (Atlanta) matchup. The winner of the Long County-Ridgeland girls game meets the winner of the LaFayette-Cherokee Bluff game in the second round.

The winner of the Liberty-Dougherty boys game advances to meet the winner of the Bainbridge-Monroe matchup. The winner of the Long County-LaFayette game will meet the winner of the Troup County-Cherokee Bluff game in the second round.
