FPCA boys off to hot start

Four FPCA Highlanders scored in double figures in the basketball season opener, and the Highlanders ran their record to 2-0 with a rout.

Jaiden Thomas had 19 points, Brandon Betton and Jordan Ortiz each scored 15 and Malachi Furlow added 12 points in a 63-62 win over Islands.

The Highlanders moved to 2-0 with a 94-35 romp Monday over the Pinewood Christian Academy Patriots.

FPCA is off until December 12, when the Highlanders visit Bethesda. The Highlanders will travel to Screven County on December 14 and PCA on December 16.

The Highlanders’ next home game is December 20 against Piedmont.
